Spring is everywhere....

This beautiful yellow flower is the marsh marigold and is growing in our garden pond.
It's one of the first flowers in the pond and I love them.

Our pond last year in the middle of our garden.

It's incredible but for the third year the little blackbirds had built their nest in this old and rotten birdhouse! Last year we wanted to throw it away because we thought it would be raining in, but now we saw that it's inhabited again!
Next to this old house we hang a new one but that's empty! So you see that it's not important for birds if their house is beautiful and new.

Some other treasures from flea market

For me it's incredible that people give such nice stuff away for a flea market!!
This beautiful latern was the first thing I saw when I arrived. You can find this also in a garden center! I was so happy when I found this already the first minute and I didn't have to think long about it...

I found 12 from these high glasses en 4 from the other glasses.
I think I am going to use them to serve some little appetizer when we have a party. That will be a nice sight, all these glasses together on a tray.

I think this is an old beautiful jars. It was made in France and at the front there is written: "Le Parfait."
But maybe it is just my imagination and is this jars not so old and special as I think!!

Some Springflowers

These are some pictures from tulips and muscari's. I like the bright colours of these flowers.
I made them last year when I visited the "Keukenhof". I was never been there, but I thought that when you live in Holland you have to see this famous garden for at least one time...

Strawberries and Wild Grape at the flea market

Yesterday I went to the flea market in our village. The things I was looking for I didn't found. But I went home with a lot of other special treasures!! Today I made some pictures of the first things: these two little metal shields. I think they are lovely, I really like them. They are getting a nice place in the garden to start a second life.

The candy-coloured blanket

Lately I have started to make a crochet blanket in candy spring/summer colours.
I was really inspired by the wonderful blog of Mia's Landliv: http://miaslandliv.blogspot.com/
She really makes lovely cushions, granny's and quilts.
But it takes a lot of time!!! I have to do a lot of work before it will be finished.
So I hope in about a few weeks I can put some pictures on my blog to show you the finished candy-cloured blanket!!
Have a sunny week...

A beautiful old statue of Maria

Last week I got this beautiful statue of Maria! A friend of mine called me and said: You are looking for a statue of Maria, isn't it?? Well, I've got one for you from an old lady who is cleaning up her house because she is going to move.
I was so happy when I saw this statue, I think it's beautifull!!!
It has got a little damage but it doesn't matter for me.
Now I'm going to find a nice place for it...

Can we eat these??

The last few weeks our citrus-plant has got about 10 of these fruits.
I really love it because it's beautiful to look at it and it gives me a bit of a summer-feeling (even when it's freezing!).
I wondered if we can eat these or not!!
Have a nice week,
Vroni

The first deco for Eastern

Today I finally found some time to put some decoration in our house for Eastern.
I really "need" to go to a garden-center for some flowers and green stuff to make it complete.
I really like the little birds in the egg...

These days it's better to stay inside, the wind is blowing everything away!
So tomorrow I will start with some eastern-decoration in our house.
Have a nice weekend...

The first little flowers in the garden

Today I saw the first little flowers in our garden. They are still very little, but it's a start! The red flower is called the "Hamamelis". I wished you could smell it because it smells delicious!

A little bit of spring

We still have to wait for the spring. But with some tullips and eggs from our own chicken we can bring the "spring-feeling" in our houses.

A long time ago......

This is an old picture of four ladies who were working in the householding for a baron. I love the simplicity of these women on this picture.

Twice a week we have to refill. They love the sunflower-seeds at most!

Snow Again!

It is a winter wonderland!
Due to the snow the wood can not be placed in the wood shed.
